Phil Harrell as Executive Director of Motivate Training Pty Ltd heads up a team of high performance
consultants, all focused on helping you achieve excellence.
Phil is a highly sought after public speaker, trainer and consultant. He has presented his dynamic and entertaining
style of training in both the public and private sectors in Australia, the South Pacific, South East Asia and
the United Kingdom.
A former Naval Officer, Phil's extensive management consulting career has encompassed the development and project
management of major organisational change, executive leadership development, strategic planning, developing
personal peak performance programs, action learning programs and executive coaching and support.

Peter McNamara BA, Dip Ed., M.Ed., MBA., Dip of Training & Assessment Systems

Peter McNamara, Director of Learning and Development Programs, has been part of Motivate Training Pty Ltd since
its inception in 1990. Over the past fifteen years, he has designed and delivered HR training programs that
specifically target the needs of domestic and international public and private sector clients. Peter engages
his audiences with his extensive experience, enthusiastic style and sense of humor.
Peter is one of the principal program designers and facilitators of a range of Management and Leadership Development
Programs for the private and public sectors. These programs include: Certificate IV in Business, Diploma of Business
and the Advanced Diploma of Business Management which are all offered by Motivate Training.
His on going work with Phil Harrell for the Government of Samoa has been ground breaking and has led to real
improvements in public service delivery and health sector reform. Peter has also worked for the governments
of India and Thailand in the delivery of human resource management development programs. |

Peter McClenaghan BA (Hons)., PhD

Peter divides his time between his lecturing responsibilities in the School of Business, Economics and Public
Policy at the University of New England and, training and consulting with Motivate Training Pty Limited.
Peter has extensive experience as a HR practitioner, academic researcher and consultant. His main areas of
expertise are: strategic leadership, leadership development, organisational behaviour, human resources
and leadership and management in Higher Education.
An inspiring speaker and coach, Peter has twice won the Woolworths QANTAS Leadership Award as Australian Academic
Mentor of the Year. |
Roberta Thompson

Is Motivate Training's Training Coordinator. In addition to her management and compliance responsibilities
she is also an international athlete and an accomplished sportswoman. Roberta can provide health breaks during conferences and training programs, personal health coaching and is available for conference presentations.

Sam Sharp B.Sc, M.Sc., PhD

Dr Sam Sharp is a leading authority on project management having been a practitioner, consultant and workshop
leader for over twenty years. He has established an outstanding reputation for his interactive hands-on workshops.
His special ability to impart his knowledge clearly and effectively has won him wide acclaim and his courses
are always enthusiastically received. Sam's relaxed style and expert knowledge together with his commitment
to providing an active and engaging learning environment has made him one of Australia's premier course leaders.
Sam is a specialist in project scheduling and control techniques, decision analysis, financial modelling and
the use of corresponding software tools. His project management experience has covered applications development,
research and systems, having been a project leader responsible for a variety of applications in engineering
and allied areas. He has also worked intensively with mining organizations such as Argyle Diamond Mines, Alcan
Gove, Newcrest and others and has provided consulting services in the areas of planning, control and resource
optimization. While in the United States, he worked extensively on geotechnical applications relating to the
underground disposal and storage of nuclear waste materials.
He has authored and co-authored three management oriented software packages, including an
educational project scheduling program, which has been distributed in the United States.

Peter Cox is Motivate Training's finance guru. He has deservedly earned a reputation for successfully analyzing the activities of many businesses,
particularly with regards to inventory control, margins, financial management and setting them on the path to
profitability.
Peter for the last fifteen years has assisted companies throughout Australia and New Zealand to establish and
maintain the financial control of their businesses.
Formerly employed for a decade at the Financial Management Research Centre in Armidale NSW he has gained a
vast experience in assisting people establish their small business operations.
Peter Cox's expertise is bottom line profitability management in business, backed up by industry performance
statistics and benchmarks. In a nutshell, Peter can show you what marketing, merchandising, customers, sales
and financial management should be doing in your business compared with your competitors and then help you to
move to a better bottom line.
His 'down to earth' style of presentation has created a huge demand for him to be a guest speaker at conferences
